Linux Workshop Day1 (19-12-08)

Hi delegates/participants of the Linux Workshop being conducted on 19-12-08 @ Vector08 hosted by V.N.R Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering & Technology.

The day1 sessions went well,though we had few technical snags during the event we have overcome them on the day2 of the event. We are uploading the presentations of the Day1(both session1 & session2) given by Mr.Karthik,Mr.Sridhar. Both the Speakers are members of the Swecha Movement and have been working for Sreenidhi Institute of Engineering & Technology.

Vector2k8 is a National Level Technical Symposium Conducted by ISTE Student Chapter,VNR VJIET .This year vGLUG in colloboration with ISTE has planned to organise a workshop on

1)FreeSoftware in career,

2)Free Software tool in Electronics,

3)Free Software in Embedded Linux,

4)Free Software in MicroControllers.

The Duration of the workshop is for 2days , the event is on December 19&20 2008.

The Registration fee is very nominal Rs.200/- per delegate.All necessary arrangements will be made by the organisers.Out station particpants can contact us or the event organisers for necessary accomodation.

A group of IT employees flocked together with an aim to bring about a change for a better tomorrow. This is a group formed by the IT employees who have readily taken up initiatives in order to solve the problems faced by the IT employees and bring about a change.

The seeds for this thought were first planted in the form of our “Better MMTS for Hyderabad” initiative. The group was noticeably successful in campaigning among the IT employees and convincing the Transport Ministry and the RTC authorities in providing public transport. The result- A number of RTC buses plying between Hi-Tech City railway station and VBIT. Along these lines there are many other issues, which we intend to address and try finding a solution.
