About ForIT(FORUM FOR I.T)

A group of IT employees flocked together with an aim to bring about a change for a better tomorrow. This is a group formed by the IT employees who have readily taken up initiatives in order to solve the problems faced by the IT employees and bring about a change.

The seeds for this thought were first planted in the form of our “Better MMTS for Hyderabad” initiative. The group was noticeably successful in campaigning among the IT employees and convincing the Transport Ministry and the RTC authorities in providing public transport. The result- A number of RTC buses plying between Hi-Tech City railway station and VBIT. Along these lines there are many other issues, which we intend to address and try finding a solution.

mukt is derived from the word mukti, meaning the experience of being free from bondage.

Composed of a body of individuals who love Free/Open Source Software (FOSS), the mukt.in team organizes series of events to promote the same.
It aims to collaborate skill levels from complete novice to expert; collaborate to share knowledge and experiences.

mukt.in first started in 2007, aug 24,25,26th. It featured discussions, speeches, presentations, and intense interactions.

This year we are gearing up for:

• Free and Open Source Software giveaways

and more, since ideas are pouring in.
